Cholly, I remember when we first met. My mom brought me to the A.S.C.P.A. so I could adopt a pup. You were standing tall against your kennel, our eyes met, you touched my soul. I knew then that we were meant for each other.
I never understood how an amazing dog ended up at the shelter. All I knew is that you had a safe home that was full of love. I’m very happy you lived long enough to get to know my son.
You were always there for me. You licked away my tears, made me laugh when I wanted to cry, and you were always ready to play.
You were such an energetic and loving companion. I remember how you loved climbing onto the roof of our house and my stepdad would have to carry you back down.
Cholly, you crossed the rainbow bridge decades ago, but my love for you shines bright.
Until we meet again.
